With apologies for the delay and for the technical difficulties, I am proud to present the very first TV Write Now video podcast!  A huge note of gratitude to my inaugural guests – Executive Producers/Writers of Once Upon a Time, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis; they were kind enough to take time out of their very busy schedules to share stories about the history of their writing partnership and their experiences working together on shows from Popular to LOST to Once Upon a Time.

Is it perfect? Far from it. Will it improve? Absolutely! Was it fun, entertaining and informative? YES. Which is exactly why I decided to post it, despite the technical issues.

This podcast is very important to me and obviously I am working on many improvements, but I would appreciate your feedback along the way! Feel free to leave constructive comments below or via Twitter (@TVWriteNow). Thank you, and enjoy!

I am very excited and honored to have Once Upon a Time executive producers/writers Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis on as my special guests for the very first TV Write Now podcast! Pending any scheduling conflicts, I aim to have the podcast posted in iTunes by Monday, January 14. Look for the link here, as well as via Twitter and Facebook.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to speak with Horowitz and Kitsis on several occasions at various LOST and Once Upon a Time press and charity events, and now I really look forward to exploring their writing backgrounds and processes, how their writing partnership has evolved over the years, and much, much more!

Coming Soon: The Launch of TV Write Now

Coming Soon: The Launch of TV Write Now

While the site and logo are being finalized, I wanted to shed some light on what this is and who I am.

Set to launch in early 2013, TV Write Now is a new podcast and website dedicated exclusively to interviews with today’s top television writers. My focus will be on the creative process, going beyond the page and behind the screen to explore and highlight the craft of creating television. The podcast and site will both feature in-depth interviews to enlighten and educate fans about how their favorite series’ come to life. And, frankly, to shine a spotlight on the true rock stars of the modern television era – those who create indelible characters and iconic shows.

For many years, I wrote about LOST extensively, and transitioned from blogger to freelance writer after the series ended. I have contributed to AOLtv (now HuffPoTV), Popular Mechanics, and TV Overmind and more. But because my primary interest is to learn more about the process behind the scenes rather than analyze the final product, I created TV Write Now.

If you are a television writer or you represent one, please do not hesitate to contact me if you’re interested in participating!

I am very fortunate to have lined up the show runners/executive producers/writers of a current hit drama series for an interview on the inaugural TV Write Now podcast, which should debut in January. Thank you for visiting, and stay tuned!
